AG L3 #2 Yuri Valenzuela
Hometown: Mexico and Ft. Worth, TX Undergraduate College/Degree: Texas Wesleyan University/ Education Why Lambda Theta Alpha: After researching LTA I became really interested; it was exciting for me to find a group that had such great values. I like the fact that Lambda Theta Alpha is a national sorority and that it caters to all women. I also love the fact that it is an active sorority and that all its members are always making contributions in many different ways. Knowing that the founding mothers are still active is a huge motivation for me. It shows that being part of the sorority is a life commitment. The bond that is made is never to be broken, and that is a value that I admire. One of the things that interested me the most was that Lambda Theta Alpha is an Academic sorority rather than a Social sorority. As an educator, I am investing in promoting education, and knowing that this sorority holds one of the highest graduation rates, I knew it is the one I wanted to be a part of. Other Involvements/ Community Organizations: Martial Arts, Choir Favorite Quote: "I never said it was going to be easy, I said it was going to be worth it."
